The Mapper

Distant Worlds Star Mapper

Chart magnification: Show R.A. and Dec. lines
Chart width (pixels): Show constellation boundaries
Chart magnitude limit*: Abbreviate Bayer/Flamsteed designations
Magnitude display limit: Show all Bayer designations
Distance display limit: light years. Identify Sunlike stars (luminosity 0.1x - 3.0x solar)
Years before or after epoch (2000.0) Check to use Tycho-2 data.
This will create a 2D map only, and force "View From Location" to be the Sun.

* The maximum magnitude actually used by the Mapper depends on magnification. At base (1x) magnification, the limit is +8.0. At higher magnifications, the limit increases by +0.4 per magnification unit. For example, the limit is +10.0 at magnification 6, and +12.0 at magnification 11.
